Volume Variations

In the midst of our busy days
we accomplish quite a lot
we study maps of our new house
(where our blankets and Lego are going to be)
we run and close doors
(they make high volume sounds)
we turn on and off taps
(and on and off and on and off and on and off)
we try on daddy's underwear
daddy's socks
daddy's shoes
daddy's boots
and hats

we fix walls with our tools
we fix empty baskets with our drum sticks
we out grow our pants
our pajamas
our socks
our toys

we push Mathey around
we push each other around in boxes
in baskets
under blankets
on chairs
over couches
under legs...

we eat a supper of chili, cheese and muffins
and then go back for more
(supper had ended 3 minutes before this photo)
breakfast of sandwhich, orange, banana and milk
then snack of whatever we can reach
then lunch of yummy pasta and avocado and cucumber
and snack of cranberries, a cookie with chocolate chips and milk
and hurry mommy with supper because we are hungry hungry hungry
then a little snack before
snack time of yogurt and cheerios before bed.

We fill the day with action and volume,
however, there are down times too.
A pause in the day for a book
for a story with a tractor like Uncle Vincents
or a control tower like Uncle Camerons
(he owns them all, don't you know)
sets the tone nicely...
before the volume rises again

 .Off we go!

mommy's gone for the weekend!

Hello family!

WE'VE HAD A DADDY WEEKEND!!!

that's right!

Mommy went off with baby through the snow to the quiet city of Yorkton to meet up with a friend from Manitoba, drink coffee, watch a movie and talk talk talk.

And we stayed home with daddy!

Talk about a good time!

Canadian Tire
Gramma's house and the toys there
Helping daddy work on the truck
Chicken fingers
Burning endergy (Minamin's word) by running like crazy
making up new songs!

Moo went the cat
Meow went the cow
bow wow wow went the chicken
woof went the mouse
oink went the pink
he's the only one who got it right.

Now mommy's back, and daddy's off to a full week of work.  Mommy's trying to gear herself up for packing....hmm maybe later (oh dear, this isn't off to a good start)
Daddy's on call this week, so maybe we'll board our trusty sleds and go find him.  Time will tell.

 Xoxo
Benjamino

Percy Plane with Potato

Some of my family are playing in the sand
so mommy sent us to play in our sand!
It's white and crunchy and you need all your warm gear on,
but our legs were still covered so we couldn't see them!
we had fun!

We typically head in for hot chocolate
but AnerZander had other ideas.
So we came in and decorated the house
from one end to the other with
toys
books
dog hair
cups
plates
and potatoes!

mommy likes to pretend our house is
organized and clean
so she does silly
fun jobs like washing the sheets
and making the bed.

And yes, we help!

and help.

and help.

(since when has housework EVER been this much of a laugh)

We celebrated our hard efforts at demolishing and cleaning earlier this week with a time at the mall, where they have the best play land,
the noisiest guests possible (not us, we were quiet, but there were a lot of noisy kids!)
and free cars that fit both AnerZander and I, each with our own steering wheel.
Mommy was so impressed, she almost considered shopping....almost.
However, it had already been a full morning, so we came home and slept for mommy over 2 1/2 hours.  She was so shocked, we had to come down and write a blog to get it in print to remember forever.  Don't tell daddy though, every time he is home, we sleep the smallest amount of time possible....funny he doesn't take it as a compliment.

Now it's high flying for a Percy plane and Thomas plane.
Uncle Cameron, did you know trains could fly?
Daddy calls them water bombers.
Mommy calls them lucky inspiration.
AnerZander calls them brrmmm.

I call them Percy & Thomas.

Love you all
Minamin

baking soda cold

Baking soda from one end of the house to the other
Mommy was downstairs putting together this blog (getting the photos ready)
Benjamin was playing in dark crevices with daddy's flashlight
Daddy was on his was to visit a friend
and me?

Well I tip toed up the stairs (I can be very quiet)
and as time passed
I inspected
-the cranberries
-the recipe books (pages come out easy you know)
-the cookie tins
and
-the baking soda.

It really smears well.  and white on red laminate is quite pretty, here Mathey have some!
won't mommy be happy when she realizes I'm up here alone...

it takes a lot to keep me contained!
and I won't be pushed around by just anybody!

So if you've got something to do

like dishes perhaps

give me some bubbles!

or cooking?

get me a spoon!  I won't ignored! I won't be forgot!
I'm fast!  I'm able, God gave me two hands and two feet and one huge personality for a purpose....

mostly to tell you, that I act this way especially
when hungry.

and remember

kisses are always free.

if we have to stay in...

...we might as well make the most of it!

Hello family far and wide (geographically speaking)
Flu season has rudely been upon us again
Now our mommy considers herself
one of the most hermit-ish mothers of the modern day
so to be attacked by another bout of colds is RIDICULOUS!
(says she anyways)

the crazy part, is it is usually mommy who gets the worse end of the deal
we tough boys fare through in a day or two
mommy likes to take her sweet time
she has a sinus infection at present
and gets to suffer the whole sore teeth and continuous headache
 silly mommy.

So we take care of ourselves the best we can.
Benjamin reads the bible stories
(this is the best children's bible ever Auntie Wu and Uncle Cam)

Alexander does the cooking...well the eating.       Benjamin finds new roads to drive on

and
Daddy comes rushing in to save the day as soon as he can.

Mommy is well taken care of.
after all, we are the best!

Xoxo

Alexander the chef
Daddy the hero
Mommy the sniffly (grr grr grr)

we're back.

The Carrot days of winter
of soup
and feeding Mathey
of running around with Alexander
of dreaming of 'cup sandwhich'
(see below, two are born one left to go)

Of staying indoors
of snow snow snow
of facetime with Hannah and Joshua
of new cousins we're anxious to see
of church
of work
of cleaning the house
(over and over and over)

and mostly
of being boys and loving it.

Alexander bits

If you want Alexander to laugh, go
-Weeeeeeeeeeee!

If you want Alexander to smile mischievously, go
-Alexander, no dog water.

If you want Alexander to crack up while eating,
shake your head really fast back and forth, giggling

If you want Alexander to come to you,
sit on the floor

If you want Alexander to reach your toys
put them slightly out of his reach

If you want Alexander to play trains, build a track

If you want Alexander to kiss you, pray with him

If you want Alexander to hug you, swing him

If you want Alexander to talk with you, go
-ah.  Ah.

If you want Alexander to be Mr. Kick kick kick
hold him up high

If you want Alexander to splash with you,
splash with him

If you want Alexander to stay at the table,
give him a spoon

If you want Alexander to go to sleep,
pat his bum.

If you want Alexander to crawl,
crawl with him

If you want Alexander...come visit.
