August 30 - so I can drive now.
Hello Gramma and Grampa,
Today was rainy, but I made the very very best of it. Daddy had the morning off so we all went for a stroll to Tim's (does saying Tim's make you want coffee Grampa?) and back, and mommy and I spent the afternoon doing laundry (some things mommy does are pretty boring but she tries to make it fun by stomping up the stairs to me waiting at the top) and then daddy and I played all evening, and I helped daddy work on his stereo for the Landcruiser. Daddy and I laugh a lot together.
I hope you are having such a lovely time, sleeping in whenever you can, golfing good games, and seeing the sights. Trisha sent us an email saying she had the loveliest time with you.
Miss you both
Benjamin

August 29
Hello gramma and grampa,
I hope you are both having a wonderful time and bring home a little Scottish accent when you come back.
The Sandhills are fantastic, we all played, jumped, dug, crawled, ate, and wore sand for a day and a half. They are truly incredible, in the south part of our province. We all had a great time. I didn't keep mommy and daddy up in the tent, and to prove how much I've grown, I slept through the nights, both of them. To prove how happy I was to have mommy and daddy beside me, I woke up promptly at 6:30 the next morning and would talk and squeal and 'cry' until they got up too.
It was lots of fun, James may have gotten more notice this trip then Mathey, believe it or not, that's what you get for being in farm country.
Love you so much
Benjamin
