Volume Variations

In the midst of our busy days
we accomplish quite a lot
we study maps of our new house
(where our blankets and Lego are going to be)
we run and close doors
(they make high volume sounds)
we turn on and off taps
(and on and off and on and off and on and off)
we try on daddy's underwear
daddy's socks
daddy's shoes
daddy's boots
and hats

we fix walls with our tools
we fix empty baskets with our drum sticks
we out grow our pants
our pajamas
our socks
our toys

we push Mathey around
we push each other around in boxes
in baskets
under blankets
on chairs
over couches
under legs...

we eat a supper of chili, cheese and muffins
and then go back for more
(supper had ended 3 minutes before this photo)
breakfast of sandwhich, orange, banana and milk
then snack of whatever we can reach
then lunch of yummy pasta and avocado and cucumber
and snack of cranberries, a cookie with chocolate chips and milk
and hurry mommy with supper because we are hungry hungry hungry
then a little snack before
snack time of yogurt and cheerios before bed.

We fill the day with action and volume,
however, there are down times too.
A pause in the day for a book
for a story with a tractor like Uncle Vincents
or a control tower like Uncle Camerons
(he owns them all, don't you know)
sets the tone nicely...
before the volume rises again

 .Off we go!
Love Alexander & Benjamin
