fathers day fabulouso!

We started off Father's day weekend with a shopping trip for daddy.  We all piled into the truck (Mathey too, he's SO happy to be a part of our every day activities again-needless to say, so are we)
and found a wonderful store called The Complete Paddler, and daddy found a canoe life jacket for himself.  Then we went to the lake (we were so close) and just watched the millions of sail boats getting no peace while the 3 motor boats roared back and forth.

Let the Hamilton Airshow begin!
Lots of planes
clouds
kettle popcorn
and frozen water bottles.
What a day.

Grampa and Great Grampa are up on all their airplane knowledge, so even when we listened to the commentary, we felt we had the insiders perspective!

The commentators did however, offer an amusing show.

"this Harvard demonstration is unique in...WHO IS TAKING OFF IN HIS OWN PLANE?
hey, that's Paul!
He must be going back home to Ottawa, he was the pilot of the Corzair....
well laa tee dah Paul.
Now, this Harvard demonstration..."

AnderZander slept only during the F18 demonstration (when it went just under the speed of sound - that was a new one for everyone in our party...so awesome)
the Lancaster roaring past....all the loud planes.

Benjabin fell asleep on daddy's shoulder in the hot dog line.

First time in ten years the snowbirds have flown in Hamilton (Auntie Manta & Auntie Stephy, that's almost back to your era)

I think daddy had a good fathers day.  We covered a lot of ground these last couple days.

and Benjabin now knows what a fighter jet sounds like.
