Sunny but cold today. Today has been another good day. Daddy was home for ALL OF IT!!!! What a treat, God is good. While daddy slept in, I banged around with soup cans, and musical toys, and noisy cars, and while daddy slept in, I banged on doors, and knocked over water bottles (big ones) and brooms and shelves and while daddy slept in, I talked really loud and screeched a bit, screaming and yelling and singing and cooing and just good old talking. All while daddy slept in....I wanted to make sure he didn't miss anything.
We went for lunch at a friends house, and they served us...guess! Soup and scones! Yummy! Then we pulled nails out this afternoon (ok mommy and daddy did). The wood is from Orest and Zoria's farm, and we are using it to finish the basement. It's a lovely idea, even though it makes the basement look a little like the OK corral. Wonder what it will look like when it's finished.
One more sleep and you are home, right? We miss you grammie. We miss grampa too very much.
Sleep lots on the trip home if you can, and I'll see you Sunday.

Good morning Benjamin - You sound like a very busy little boy. Well it is our last day in Glasgow - grandpa is on course again but is missing the last session so I am to meet him at 11:30. Some of the sessions have been very good and some not so good. He is tired. It is too bad the conference hadn't been first and our holiday later but then we would have missed all the nice weather we had so I guess it is okay. I have finished all my reading so am ready to come home too. Today we are going to walk down to the tall ship - a little ways further than the conference hall - and then we are going to walk as many bridges along the Clyde as we can this afternoon. The Clyde is not a really wide river but has been important as it is the access from the ocean and all the trade and commerce that that has brought. It has quite a few bridges acroos much like Saskatoon and walking spaces all along it. It looks like a nice day so will be good to get out and walk again. Last night we found an Italian restaurant that served lamb so we had a very good lamb meal. Tonight we are having seafood at a renown restaurant called The Two Fat ladies. And since we are becoming two fat grandparents again we will soon be back to bran flakes and vegetables when we get home. The Grand Central Station - the hub of the trains and subway is just across the street from us so we walked through there a bit the other night - very impressive from the outside with its glass roof and all. Well that is about all the news from here. We will see you on Sunday.

Grammie and Grandpa
Good evening Benjamin - As you can see we are a bit bored. We had supper and have packed up most of our stuff and are now just trying to stay awake for awhile so we have a good sleep. Grandpa was done before noon today so we headed down to the tall ship. It was quite a nice day for walking. The ship is being renovated so we couldn't go on so we decided to try and walk as far as we could along the river. Well the trail ran out and there is a lot of building going on so we finally turned around and headed back. We crossed many bridges so it was sort of fun seeing the city from across the river. In the end we walked about 4 1/2 hours and you guessed it - Granpa's knees were giving out. We rested for an hour or so at the hotel and then walked another 12 blocks to supper. It was very nice. So now we are just biding our time. We need to leave here about 6:30 a.m. for the aiport which will be about11 p.m your time. It is 9:15 p.m. here so about 2:25 p.m. your time. I hope you have had a good day and the weather will be nice when we come home. Had an email from Chris Broten and he said you had had a lot of rain and that most of the harvest is still notin - how discouraging. Well we must go now - see you Sunday.
