Gramma and Grampa
before you pack up
In a jar, if you can
please bring some sunshine
to pour in my hand
to put on my head
and let it trickle down
squirm through my toes
melt into the ground
it would be lovely
it would be fun
to have in a jar
just a wee bit of sun
to keep and to hold
through the wind and the snow
keep my hands snug
and my cheeks all aglow
if sunshine you can't get
you can't put in a mug
then I'll take the next best
a bright joyful hug.
Love
Benjamin
Hi Benjamin - sorry we can't bring you any sunshine - it is raiing here in Taipei just like it was when we came over. We have been walking around and will now go and read for a while as we are here 7 hours. Then we have an 11 hour flight to Vanouver. the flight so far in uneventful. It is always good to get the luggage on the move with everything okay.
ReplyDeleteSo since we can't bring the sunshine we are looking forward to bringing the hugs. Is the weather still cold there? It will be quite an adjustment for us as it has been unusually hot for Cambodia this past month. It is hard to get to sleep even with the fan going. I won't complain though - it is a nice break from blizzards. I think we have 700 plus pictures that I will have to pare down to something showable - have just been shooting from the hip most of the time. See you soon.
